They expected a conquering king, but Jesus came in peace, fulfilling prophecy and revealing a different kind of Kingdom. There’s a tension between expectation and reality—and we often miss Jesus when He doesn’t show up the way we imagined. May we be a people who recognize our King and carry His presence, even in unexpected ways.
